A Roman Theatre Head of a Man, ca 1st century AD

with drilled almond-shaped eyes, the thick beard and high coiffure composed of corkscrew curls that frame his face, the features contorted with either fear or rage, the mouth open.

Condition:  Wear to the coiffure with minor losses but overall in very good condition, probably from a larger statue.  A striking piece.
