A Roman Gold Ring, ca 1st century BC/AD

a small gold finger ring, the plain hoop bifurcated toward the shoulders, the upper and lower bands decorated with stemmed grape clusters, the open center with two overlapping strands of beaded wire twisted to form seven circles in six rounded hoops that join together the center beaded work.   A beautiful example.

Condition:  slight signs of wear that are commensurate with age and use,  intact and in excellent condition overall.
