A Roman Carnelian Ringstone Intaglio, ca 2nd century AD

The oval stone with standing figure of Artemis, goddess of the hunt, holding a bow in her left hand, her right is reaching back for an arrow, a hunting dog by her side, and set in a modern 18K gold ring with raised bezel.

Dimensions:  US ring size: 8 3/4

Condition: Intact and in very good condition overall

Provenance:  Private NY collection, acquired from the London trade in the mid 1960's
