A Roman Bronze Hanging Oil Lamp, 3rd Century A.D.

The circular lamp with volute-shaped nozzle, the circular filler hole within a recessed tondo, on a disc foot the underside with concentric circles, ring handle surmounted with high floral shaped plate and suspended on three chains all joined to a suspension loop.

Dimensions:Length: 10 cm (4 inches)

Condition:Intact and in good condition overall.

Provenance:  Acquired in January of 2001, previously from a private Connecticut collection.
