A Western Asiatic Lapis Lazuli and Rock Crystal Necklace, Persian Period, 1st millennium BC

A fine Western Asiatic necklace of alternating graduated lapis lazuli and rock crystal beads of various shapes including multi-sided tubular, flat tubular, interspersed with 14K antique Victorian gold beads, strung with a double hook closure.

Dimensions:   Length: 24 in  (61 cm)

Condition:  All the beads are very high quality with ancient signs of wear, they are intact and in excellent condition overall.  

Provenance: Sotheby's London, Antiquities, 4 May, 1970, Lot 42 (part).
