A Large Pottery Painted Funnel Krater, Pre-Etruscan Period, ca. 5th century BCE

With a large funnel-shaped mouth, the twin loop handles and two applied human hands with full-modeled fingers on the globular body, decorated with a frieze of floral and scrolliate motifs in dark brown pigment, flanked by three horizontal lines above and four below, the interior of the rim with curving lines.

Condition: A lovely example of the type, the vessel is complete with professional rejoining, good earth deposits to some areas.
