A Hellenistic Gold Snake Armlet, ca. 2nd - 1st century BC

fashioned from drawn, high carat gold, with naturalistically-modelled and finely-contoured snake head terminals, tongues outstretched and intertwined, the scales rendered by hatching on the front, the rest of the hoop plain.

Condition:   Intact and in very good condition overall.   A beautiful, delicate example of fine craftsmanship.
