A fine pair of Greek Amphora Earrings, Hellenistic Period, ca 2nd - 1st century BC

Each with a high arching earwire joined to the back of a circular box, the front ornamented with a domed rosette framed by beaded and plain wires, the petals rimmed with beaded wire, an amphora pendant suspended below composed of a dark glass bead capped with gold hemispheres of petals rimmed with beaded wire, on a cylindrical stem joined to a round foot, the wire handles with leaf-shaped terminals at each end.

Condition:  Expected signs of wear and surface mineral deposits that do not detract, intact and in excellent condition overall.

Provenance:  New York family private collection since 1970's.
