A fine Greco-Roman Bronze Ladle of Pompeian style, Hellenistic Period, ca. 1st century BCE/CE

The elegant perpendicular handle features an overturned duck-headed terminal with incised facial details and curving bill, the shallow cupped spoon with arched spurs on the rim and incised concentric ring on the exterior.

Dimensions: Height: 26.5 cm (10 1/2 inches)

Condition: Intact and in excellent condition overall with fine green/brown patina. Museum quality custom mount.

Provenance: Private NY collection, acquired from the trade in the early 1970's.
