An Egyptian Figure of a Man, Middle Kingdom, ca 2055-1773 B.C.

Depicted striding forward with the left leg advanced, wearing a knee length kilt and short wig that preserves traces of black pigment.

Condition: Loss of arms and feet, much of the back right leg missing but otherwise intact and in very good condition overall.  A nice piece that presents well with deep brown patina.  On custom wood mount.

Provenance:  Private New York collection since early 1960's, thereafter in a private Virginia collection.
