An Egyptian Faience Ushabti for Ij-iir-s, Late Period, ca. 380- 343 BC

Mummiform, faience with very light green glaze and details in relief, with tripartite wig and divine beard, face nicely molded, hands crossed over chest holding agricultural implements (pic and hoe), seed basket on cord over left shoulder, dorsal pillar and trapezoidal base, nine horizontal bands of hieroglyphic text from Chapter VI of the Book of the Dead wrapped around legs naming the owner as Ij-iir-s son of Penib Irenu”.
