A rare Egyptian Vase with Pseudo-Hieroglyphs, New Kingdom, (ca. 1539-1292 BC)

Of Nile silt clay with a rounded base and wide mouth, the cylindrical body marked in black pigment with pseudo-hieroglyphics in eight horizontal registers.

Dimensions:Height: 6 11/16 inches (17 cm)

Condition:  Small break to rim rejoined otherwise intact and in very good condition overall.

Provenance: Private NY Collection on loan to the Carlos Museum, Emory University from 1999 - 2015, loan number: L1999.038.001
