* A fine Egyptian Faience Dedication Plaque to Thutmosis III, late 18th Dynasty, ca. 1375 - 1295 BC

of bright, blue glazed faience, the rectangular form incised on both sides with text that reads:  "The Good God, Lord of the Two Lands, Menkheperre, [Thutmose III] enduring very well”, the reverse reads "The praise and goodness of Amun-Re”.  Pierced for attachment.  

Dimensions: Length: 5/8” (1.5 cm)

Condition:  some deposit accretions, the plaque is intact and in excellent condition overall.  A very fine example. 

Provenance:   Private Virginia collection, acquired in the 1920s and then by descent to granddaughter.
