An Egyptian Feldspar Amulet of a Falcon, Middle Kingdom, ca. 2040 - 1786 B.C.

a very finely carved feldspar falcon, the elegant form with incised detail highlighting eyes, beak and wings, the latter crossing over the tail feathers, on an integrated plinth; with suspension hole for attachment. 

Condition: Amulet is intact and in excellent condition overall, custom mounted on marble base. 

Dimensions: Height: 1.3 cm (.51 inch), Mounted Height: 2 cm (.78 inch) 

Provenance:  Private collection of Robert J. Molnar, Hillsdale, NJ, acquired in the 1960's.
