A Near Eastern agate Bead Seal, Parthian Period, ca. 2nd Century BC

 engraved with a man wrestling a wolf, inscribed with Pahlavi script to the top right corner.

Dimensions:  Diameter: 7/8 inch (2.2 cm)

Condition:  Repaired from two original pieces, the drilled perforation through the center for suspension shows signs of wear.

Provenance:  Private NYC collection, acquired in the 1990's.
